Join us for our Winter Recess Family Activities as we bring the warmth of winter traditions to life. Explore, create, and share in a welcoming space designed for families to enjoy together.

Activities will take place from 11am–3pm on Monday, December 29th and Tuesday, December 30th.
What’s in store?
Scent & Story Station – Smell the cozy scents of winter like cinnamon and cloves, and use them as inspiration to share stories about your family’s holiday traditions.
Acrostic Poetry Corner – Express your creativity by crafting a seasonal acrostic poem.
Build Your Own Paper Gingerbread Person – Design a gingerbread character with fun costume options inspired by city workers who keep our communities running.
Decorate a Paper Gingerbread House – Add your personal touch to a festive paper gingerbread home inspired by NYC's iconic landmarks.

We will be hosting two family workshops with featured bakers from our annual exhibition Gingerbread NYC: The Great Borough Bake-Off on December 20th and 27th.
