Family Workshop: Gingerbread Cookie Decorating with Pastry Chef Angela Carlucci
This interactive workshop invites children and their caregivers to explore holiday traditions through hands-on gingerbread decorating and sensory discovery. Participants will design two themed cookies: a whimsical melting snowman and a cute gingerbread house cut-out, after observing a live demonstration by Pastry Chef Angela Carlucci. The session blends creative expression, fine motor skill development, and family collaboration, making it ideal for both educational and social fun!

After the program, we invite you to visit the show Gingerbread NYC: The Great Borough Bake-Off to see Angela's work along with the works of other bakers who captured their favorite NYC landmarks using gingerbread.

About the Baker: Angela Carlucci
Angela Carlucci is the Pastry Chef for Think Coffee and Devoe Street Bakeshop, a two-time Blue Ribbon winner at the Queens County Fair, and a culinary educator for both children and adults. With a deep love for baking and excitement for teaching, Angela combines her culinary expertise with a passion for community impact.
Angela’s passion extends beyond the kitchen. She envisions an educational television program designed for children in underserved communities—one that uses baking as a gateway to teach life skills, encourage artistic expression, and introduce concepts in science, nutrition, and self-care. Through her teaching and advocacy, she strives to inspire the next generation with the message that every child is capable, creative, and worthy of opportunity.
