This event has passed.

Bring a pencil and your artistic eye as we explore the history of this dynamic and homegrown artistic movement and meet the NYC "writers” who made graffiti into a worldwide phenomenon.
Facilitated by Museum educators, participants in this virtual workshop will explore artists’ blackbook sketches, photographs of large-scale pieces, as well as works on canvas, and will respond creatively through guided drawing prompts.
Open to educators in all grades and subject areas, this workshop will draw out curriculum connections across a wide array of topics and showcase engagement activities for building students' language and interpretative skills.
FREE. Registration Required. 1.5 CTLE Hours.
We've created a resource sheet for this program, including information on MCNY resources and exhibitions showcased in this workshop, additional sources on Martin Wong, graffiti in New York City, and more!
