SABOR & RITMO: International Family Day of Dance

Join us for an amazing day of interactive learning as we spotlight dance cultures that continue to shape our diverse city, including:

  • Salsa with Balmir Latin Dance Studio
  • Puerto Rican bomba with Milteri Tucker of Bombazo Dance Company
  • Kizomba with Annie Louis of B-More Kizomba and DJ Elmano
  • Children’s creative movement/dance
  • Bilingual story time, children’s creative dance, and more!
     

Enjoy open-level workshops, family activities for all-ages, and a dance party culminating with live music from Gerardo Contino y Los Habaneros (selected by NPR/WNYC as Manhattan’s best band of 2015)! This fun-filled day will explore themes featured in the Museum’s upcoming exhibition Rhythm & Power: Salsa in New York, opening June 13, 2017.

This program is for dancers of all levels and ages.
