Join the Museum of the City of New York and the New York City Department of Education for a free virtual preview of the Hidden Voices of New York City spring 2024 series for students in grades 3-5.  

Plan now to sign up for these thematic learning experiences that celebrate heritage months, from February’s Black History Month to June’s PRIDE Month, and enrich your students’ understanding of New York City history.,

In this 1-hour webinar, the Museum will introduce educators to the more than a dozen “hidden voices” featured in this year’s virtual series and engage participants in identifying how these stories can be integrated into their classrooms. Guest speaker Brian Carlin, Director of Social Studies at the NYC Department of Education, will provide an overview of the Hidden Voices resource guides and a preview of upcoming related publications and resources. 

This program is geared toward educators and is open to all with an interest in the topic. The virtual student series, which begins on February 6, 2024, is geared toward students in grades 3-5. All educators, regardless of grade level, are welcome to participate in this webinar preview and learn more about how to share these stories with your students.
