Election Day PD: Exploring Interdisciplinary Engagement Strategies

This Election Day, join us at the Museum of the City of New York for a vibrant, hands-on professional development experience designed for K-12 educators of all subjects and grade levels. Inspired by the interdisciplinary curatorial approach of Urban Stomp: Dreams and Defiance on the Dance Floor, explore engagement strategies that can transform your teaching practice—through movement, art, history, and embodied learning.
Spend the day alongside our experienced museum educators in the galleries, exploring how we integrate visual culture, performance, and historical thinking into dynamic learning experiences. Highlights include:
- An energizing Keynote Dance Performance by one of the culture bearers featured in Urban Stomp to kick off the day with rhythm, costume, and movement
- Gallery-based workshops on Historical Thinking and Visual Literacy
- Opportunities to collaborate, reflect, and move together
A light breakfast of coffee, tea, and pastries provided.
