Spring Break! Family Activities @ MCNY

Inspired by the museum’s centennial exhibition This Is New York: 100 Years of the City in Art and Pop Culture, explore what moves New York City’s streets and subways with art activities, story time, and music and movement. 

Drop in anytime! Activities will take place from 11am–3pm from Saturday, April 20 through Sunday, April 28. See below to register.

Ongoing 10 am – 5 pm Pick up a scavenger hunt or a kids’ guide and visit the exhibition This Is New York: 100 Years of the City in Art and Pop Culture.

Arts & Crafts

Ongoing 11am–3pm Participate in arts and crafts activities inspired by artworks featured in our centennial exhibition, This Is New York. Create a variety of objects to take home – from sketches to mosaics – with a different activity each day.

Storytime @ MCNY

Daily, 11 am StoryTime @ MCNY is a free, drop-in, picture-book reading series geared towards children ages 3 to 5 and their grownups. This week, join us for stories that celebrate New York City culture on the streets and subways. Pre-registration is recommended but not required.

Pre-registration is recommended and can be completed using the registration links below. Registrants will receive a reminder email about the event. All activities above are free with Museum Admission. Pay-what-you-wish admission is only available at ticket counters.

Do you live or work in zip codes 10029, 10035, or 10037? You can visit the Museum for free! Simply show your I.D. or a piece of mail with your current address and the suggested admission charge will be waived.
