Discover Irish New York, a one-day festival examining how Irish immigrants and Irish Americans have shaped New York City’s political, cultural, and artistic life, from Five Points to the present. Presented in collaboration with the Irish Arts Center and the Brooklyn Irish Dance Company, the program brings together workshops and performances that highlight contemporary and diverse Irish creativityexploring music, storytelling, cuisine, and the many identities that continue to define Irish New York today.

*About the Panel: Elizabeth Stack and Terry Golway explore how Irish immigrants helped shape New York’s neighborhoods, labor systems, and political life. Moving from the 19th century to the present, exploring moments of conflict, cooperation, and cultural exchange between the Irish community and New Yorks other diverse communities.
