About First Responders Appreciation Night
In recognition of national days honoring first responders during the month of October—including National First Responders Day and Emergency Nurses Day—the Museum of the City of New York invites New York’s first responders to join us for a night at the Museum to celebrate our first responders’ resilience, humanity, and care for our city.
Highlights of the Evening
- Sugar Hill Creamery ice cream giveaway to the first 100 responders with credentials

This program is a part of our Free Late-Night Wednesdays.
Sugar Hill Creamery is Harlem's beloved family-owned, small-batch ice cream shop, founded in 2017 by husband-and-wife team Nick Larsen and Petrushka Bazin Larsen and known for unconventional flavors inspired by their cultures and their Harlem neighborhood. Featured in The New York Times, Vogue Italia, and CBS Sunday Morning, Sugar Hill Creamery is on a mission to turn strangers into neighbors, neighbors into friends, and friends into family, one scoop at a time.
The Mount Sinai Selikoff Centers for Occupational Health provide specialized care for workers with work-related injuries and illnesses while promoting safer workplaces through prevention, education, and outreach. Our multidisciplinary team offers comprehensive services, including medical care, workplace hazard evaluations, ergonomics, workers' compensation assistance, and health and safety training to help protect workers and prevent future work-related injuries and illnesses.
