2026 Gotham Book Prize Winner Keith McNally

Join the Museum of the City of New York for an evening celebrating New York City’s rich literary community as we honor the winner of the 2026 Gotham Book Prize, I Regret Almost Everything by Keith McNally, the legendary downtown restaurateur and founder of institutions including Balthazar, Minetta Tavern, and The Odeon. The $50,000 prize is awarded annually to the best book published that calendar year, either fiction or nonfiction, that either is about New York City or takes place in New York City.

The Gotham Book Prize was co-founded in 2020 by Bradley Tusk and Howard Wolfson as a way to uplift the creative community during the challenging early months of the pandemic and recognize what has made New York City special for generations. Now in its sixth year, the Gotham Book Prize is be awarded by a jury of civic leaders, academics, and authors.

Refreshments and light bites will be served, and advance registration is required. Contact pressoffice@mcny.org to register for this event or if you have any questions.
