Family STEAM Workshop: Building the City with The GIANT Room - March 14
Calling all aspiring engineers! Bring the whole family for an unforgettable museum workshop where STEAM comes to life through creativity, curiosity, and hands-on fun! Families will roll up their sleeves to design, experiment, and build together, using real-world science, technology, engineering, art, and math inspired by New York City’s past and present.
After the workshop, dive deeper with a guided exploration of a related exhibition, uncovering how innovation, design, and problem-solving have shaped NYC
Come explore the history of some of NYC’s most iconic sites through hands-on STEAM activities in connection with our new exhibition, He Built This City: Joe Macken’s Model.
Perfect for curious kids and grown-ups alike, this interactive experience invites families to learn by doing, ask big questions, and see NYC through a fresh, STEAM-powered lens. Come imagine, create, and explore—together!
Ticket Information: Non-Members: $40 per child, Members: $35 per child
Ages: This program is designed for children ages 5 to 9, but also accessible to younger and older siblings ages 3 to 12.
