Begin your journey by exploring stories of influential figures featured across the museum’s exhibitions. Learn about their contributions to art, activism, music, and community life, and discover how their legacies continue to shape New York City today. 

Then, unleash your creativity! Using vibrant colors, bold shapes, and imaginative features, design a portrait inspired by the historical figure you explored. Our workshop provides all the art supplies you need to bring your vision to life—whether you choose paint, collage, or mixed media. 

This hands-on program is perfect for all ages and skill levels. Come ready to learn, create, and celebrate the power of art and history!
