About the Pacemakers Dance Team

The Pacemakers Senior-Citizens Dance Team is a fierce, funny, and irresistibly inspiring troupe of seniors - age 60 to 87 - whose mission is to upend stereotypes and celebrate old age, one groovy grapevine at a time. To that end, they wear their years of birth, big and bold, on the backs of their costumes for all to see, proving there is no shame in being old or the word “old.” In fact, it’s aspirational. It’s a badge of honor!

It all started when one of their dancers was cyberbullied for being too old to dance in public. Instead of shrinking to society's expectations, the Pacemakers were born out of defiance, resistance, and resilience. Today, the Pacemakers’ dance card is booked year round. They continue to receive enthusiastic accolades, growing a loyal fan base with thousands of requests to perform throughout the United States and around the world!
