Buildings designed by architect Rosario Candela in the 1920s are now some of the most sought-after addresses in Manhattan, intrinsically associated with the rich and fabulous. Famous residents of Candela buildings have included Jackie O and John D. Rockefeller. Back by popular demand, this Upper East Side walking tour visits the sites of Rosario Candela’s grand architectural feats (including the iconic 740 Park Avenue) with Donald Albrecht, curator of the Museum's exhibition Elegance in the Sky: The Architecture of Rosario Candela

The tour will begin in at the corner of 71st Street and Fifth Avenue at 2:00 p.m. It will last for about one hour and conclude at 77th Street and Fifth Avenue.

In case of rain, the tour will be rescheduled to Sunday, September 23 at 2:00 p.m. Please note that no refunds will be offered if the tour is moved to the rain date.

This program accompanies our exhibition, Elegance in the Sky: The Architecture of Rosario Candela (open through October 28, 2018).
