NYC Discovery Lab – How NYC Runs

Bring your young explorers (ages 5–12) for hands-on, drop-in fun as we dive into the fascinating world of New York City’s waterways, trains, and the heroes who keep the city clean and running! 11am-4pm, every Saturday and Sunday in July.

A group of educators gathered in the Museum of the City of New York’s “World City” gallery. Prominent displays include sections titled “1980–2001” and “Street Life,” with exhibits featuring themes such as policing, the events of 9/11, and urban life. The room is dimly lit with illuminated display cases and projected images. Attendees appear engaged, reading, discussing, and taking notes.
