NYC Discovery Lab – Play in the City

Join us this June at the NYC Discovery Lab with drop-in activities for children ages 5-12 and their grownups!
This month we’re exploring how New Yorkers have played throughout the city’s history. Discover and learn how games and toys have connected and entertained generations of New Yorkers.
Dates: Every Saturday and Sunday in June
Time: Drop-in anytime between 11am-4pm
- Discover the toys New Yorkers have played with throughout the years at our touch object station
- Learn about the different games that have connected and entertained generations of New Yorkers
- Craft a spinning Whirligig toy to take home
- Explore the games of the Lenape, the first people of the New York City region
- Grab a scavenger hunt and explore our galleries to learn how New Yorkers have played throughout the city’s history
Museum Admission:
New York State Residents: Pay What You Can
Children: Free for ages 18 and under
Adults $23/Seniors $18 & Students/$14 – please purchase a ticket online or pay-what-you-wish at the door on the day of your visit. No registration necessary.
