A Walk in the Park: Watercolor and Nature Exploration Workshop

A Walk in the Park is a new partnership between the Museum of the City of New York and the Central Park Conservancy.

As part of the partnership, we have produced two activity sheets and two artmaking and nature-exploring workshops for children inspired by the exhibit Four Seasons of Central Park: Watercolors by Frederick Brosen at the Museum of the City of New York. Frederick Brosen is a watercolor artist from New York City who paints detailed, photorealistic cityscapes using watercolor. Four of his watercolor paintings of iconic locations in Central Park in different seasons are featured in both aspects of the partnership.

Activity Sheets

Use the activity sheets to explore two iconic locations in Central Park – the Burnett Fountain and the Glen Span Arch – and engage with Brosen’s watercolor paintings of those locations at the Museum of the City of New York.
