Rosy Teed’s Hotel Chelsea Named Fan Favorite Winner of Gingerbread NYC 2025

New York, NY (January 14, 2026) — The Museum of the City of New York is pleased to announce that Rosy Teed has been named the “Fan Favorite” winner of Gingerbread NYC: The Great Borough Bake-Off, the Museum’s beloved seasonal exhibition on view through January 19, 2026.

Rosy Teed captured visitors’ hearts with The Hotel Chelsea, a meticulously crafted tribute to the legendary Manhattan landmark. Selected through public voting during the exhibition’s run, the “Fan Favorite” award reflects the enthusiasm and admiration of museumgoers who engaged with the exhibition and cast their ballots.

Gingerbread NYC: The Great Borough Bake-Off is more than a seasonal display—it’s a joyful showcase of New York creativity, community pride, and edible design,” said Jerry Gallagher, Chief Operating Officer of the Museum of the City of New York. “The Fan Favorite award is especially meaningful because it comes directly from our visitors, and Rosy Teed’s Hotel Chelsea clearly resonated with the public.”

“The Hotel Chelsea is not only an architectural landmark, but a symbol of New York’s artistic history,” said Elisabeth Sherman, Robert A. and Elizabeth Rohn Jeffe Deputy Director and Chief Curator of the Museum of the City of New York. “Rosy Teed’s gingerbread interpretation translates that legacy into an imaginative sculptural form, and it’s no surprise that visitors connected so strongly with it.”
