Gingerbread NYC
The Great Borough Bake-Off 2026
Opens November 6, 2026
Back to Exhibitions
Explore a frosted wonderland in the beloved annual exhibition, Gingerbread NYC. Returning for the fifth year, this wintertime tradition invites bakers from across the five boroughs to recreate New York City icons out of gingerbread. From candy-lined streets to edible skyscrapers, the miniature cityscape celebrates New York’s communities and neighborhoods—with a sweet twist.
Bakers are invited to create a gingerbread display on the theme of “Iconic New York,” drawing inspiration from distinctive buildings, places, and symbols of the city. A panel of distinguished judges will award multiple themed prizes, and visitors are invited to cast their vote during the run of the exhibition to crown the final “People’s Choice” award.
Interested in participating in this year’s exhibition? Submit your application by September 20.
