Join two of the most sought-after interior designers practicing today, Tom Scheerer and David Netto, as they present and discuss their work. Scheerer recently restored the illustrious River Club of New York City while Netto, who has completed houses in London and the Bahamas, is now at work on a book about architect Rosario Candela. The two will share how their designs are driven by both a great respect for the role of architecture in creating atmosphere and a deep love of history. Together, they will talk about the buildings that have influenced their work and offer examples of the houses and rooms they have created that illustrate how shaping space is as important as finishes.

Reception to follow.

About the Speakers:
David Netto is a Los Angeles based designer and founder of David Netto Design LLC. Since dropping out of Harvard Architecture School and founding his studio in New York in 2000, he has specialized in residential decoration in no particular style. His work is known for trying to bring modernism a touch of warmth and personality, and traditionalism young energy and a dash of the exotic.  His projects have been published in magazines including Vogue and Elle Décor as well as several books. From 2010 to 2012, he was the contributing design editor at the Wall Street Journal and after 2012 at T, the New York Times Style Magazine. Netto now writes the "Case Studies" column for Town & Country

Tom Scheerer has been a practicing interior decorator in New York since 1985. His work is traditional but lively, place-appropriate and always includes modernist touches. After graduating from The Cooper Union in 1985 his interiors began, almost immediately, to be published nationally. In 1995, Scheerer formed his own Manhattan-based decorating firm. His work includes projects in New York, Dallas, the Bahamas and Europe - much of which can be seen in his first book Tom Scheerer Decorates, published in 2013 by Vendome. His work has appeared in Elle Décor, Town and Country, Veranda, House Beautiful and Architectural Digest, which includes him annually on its international list of top 100 designers and architects.
