The Ninth Annual Clara Lemlich Award

The Ninth Annual Clara Lemlich Awards will be held at the Puffin Gallery for Social Activism at the Museum of the City of New York, home to the acclaimed exhibition Activist New York and soon to be showing City of Workers, City of Struggle: How Labor Movements Changed New York opening on May 1st, 2019.

Join LaborArts and the Remember the Triangle Fire Coalition in honoring unsung activists, women who have been working for the larger good all their lives, in the tradition of those who sparked so many reforms in the aftermath of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire. In 2019 they honor: Elba Cabrera, Doris Diether, Ronnie Eldridge, Melissa Freeman, and Philoine Fried.

The event will begin with a reception at 6:30 pm and the program will begin at 7:15 pm.
