Members of the Alexander Hamilton Circle are key players and participants in the evolving growth of the Museum. The generous members of this patrons' program provide vital funds for the general operations of the Museum—the foundation of all our activities.

Member $1,000

June: Illustrated presentation on The Mannahatta Project: Mapping Manhattan Island of 400 Years Ago by Dr. Eric Sanderson, Living Landscapes Program, Wildlife Conservation Society


June: Opening reception and preview of the exhibition New York Fast Forward: Neil Denari Builds on the High Line, the newest installment in the Museum’s series honoring New York’s most cutting-edge architects


June: Opening reception and preview of the exhibition Campaigning for President: New York and The American Election which draws on the rich collections of Jordan Wright’s Museum of Democracy to present a thought-provoking and entertaining show about New York City’s role in national politics. 


July: Behind-the-scenes tour of Christie’s with a presentation on how to buy at auction with George McNeely, Senior Vice President, Business Development


Fall/Winter

September: Opening reception and preview of the exhibition Growing and Greening New York: PlaNYC2030 and the Future of the City, a compelling and timely show exploring Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg’s sweeping plan to enhance New York’s urban environment and to ensure a sustainable future for New York City


October: Opening Reception and Preview of the exhibition Paris/New York: Design Fashion Culture 1925-1940, a dazzling show exploring the myriad artistic relationships between Paris and New York.


October: Cooking demonstration by a master chef at the French Culinary Institute followed by wine and hors d’oeuvres. Presented in conjunction with Paris/New York: Design Fashion Culture 1925-1940 *We request a contribution of $75 per person to cover the costs of this event.

 

November: Visit to the studio of celebrated American couturier Maggie Norris with Phyllis Magidson, the Museum’s Curator of Costumes and Textiles
