For the third summer in a row, the Museum of the City of New York will host an eight-week music series on its Fifth Avenue Terrace, now called “LIVE@1220 Fifth,” on Wednesday evenings from July 13 through August 31 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Admission is $15 for non-members and $10 for Museum members, and includes after-hours access to the Museum, as well one complimentary cocktail or refreshment. This year’s lineup, including DJ sets and live bands, features local New York artists from many musical genres, including jazz, hip hop, rock and roll, Afrofusion, Latin jazz, boogie-woogie, and more! Snacks available for purchase from Great Performances.
Admission includes after-hours access to Museum as well as one complimentary cocktail or refreshment.

July 13: Sophia Urista
Featured artist at the Fort Greene Music Fest on July 15 and Showtime network performer, this talented musician brings a unique blend of soul, funk, and blues to her lively and dynamic act. Purchase tickets.
July 20: Bobby Sanabria & Quarteto Aché
Bobby Sanabria, composer, arranger, percussionist, and educator, is a multiple Grammy nominee, who has recorded and performed with Dizzy Gillespie, Tito Puente, and many other music legends. His sound incorporates a multi cultural array of musical strains in Latin jazz. Purchase tickets.
July 27: Baby Soda
Baby Soda is on the cutting edge of a new movement loosely known as street jazz, with an eclectic set of influences ranging from New Orleans brass bands, jug music, southern gospel and hot jazz. This Brooklyn jazz band is known for their impromptu concerts at sites around the city. Purchase tickets.
August 3: Juliana Riccardi Band
Blending alternative rock and ethereal pop, this New York native will combine her lively original band act with the now-vintage, classic rock of the 1960s, ‘70s, and ‘80s, including songs by the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and other great sounds. Purchase tickets.
August 10: Mamarazzi featuring Precision Dance Troupe
Mamarazzi plays a unique brand of African-rhythm-infused funk music. Their sound incorporates elements of jazz, Afro-beat, rock, and African percussion with keyboards, guitars, and horns. In 2010 the band incorporated poetry slam and hip hop artist Tavi Fields, adding a unique Brooklyn hip hop flare to their sound. Purchase tickets.
August 17: The Tickled Pinks
Reminiscent of the Andrew Sisters, this act features boogie-woogie: a retro style and sultry sound that also includes pre-war barbershop quartet harmonies. The band includes—in addition to the three female vocalists—brass, keyboard, and an upright bass. Purchase tickets.
August 24: Devon Craig Johnson
Jazz guitarist, rock drummer, and DJ Devon Craig Johnson will treat audiences to jazz, classical, hip hop, and modern pop. This artist brings an eclectic mix of contemporary styles to his performances. Purchase tickets.
August 31: The KNOX Band featuring Carla Scott
Featuring the powerful vocals of Ms. Carla Scott. The KNOX Band, led by keyboardist Brian Knox, delivers funk, soul, pop, and rock hit songs everyone knows and loves. Purchase tickets.
