Big Apple Bash
The Big Apple Bash is hosted by the City Museum’s Young Members Circle, a membership group for young professionals ages 21-39. The event attracts over 500 guests to the Museum featuring food, cocktails and dancing on the Museum’s Fifth Avenue Terrace overlooking Central Park.
Each fall, the City Museum presents Cabaret! a gala evening, featuring a performance by a leading figure in musical theater and a seated dinner. The evening celebrates the Museum’s Theater Collection, the definitive archive of the Broadway stage. Past performers have included such luminaries as Joel Grey, Christine Ebersole, Harvey Fierstein, and Tommy Tune.

Chairman's Leadership Award
Each year, the City Museum presents its annual Chairman’s Leadership Award at a gala dinner to a distinguished company and its leader, in recognition of their contributions to the life and well-being of New York City. In 2014, the Museum proudly presents the award to Wyndham Worldwide and to Stephen P. Holmes, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
Children's Holiday Party
The City Museum’s Children’s Holiday Party has been a beloved New York City holiday tradition for over 40 years. Designed for boys and girls ages 3 to 8 and organized by a volunteer committee of parents, it takes place in the Museum’s landmark building and includes a host of kid-friendly activities and performances, and of course, a visit with Santa. Co-chairs of the 2013 Children’s Holiday Party are Emily Garbaccio, Elizabeth Feld Herzberg, Paige Boller Malik, Sarah McGee, and Elizabeth Villar.

Each year, the City Museum hosts the Spring Symposium & Luncheon, featuring a talk by a leading figure from the worlds of architecture, interior design, or fashion design, followed by a seated luncheon on the Museum’s Fifth Avenue Terrace overlooking Central Park. Past speakers have included Gloria Vanderbilt, Jamie Drake, Peter Pennoyer, Miles Redd, William T. Georgis and Alexa Hampton.
Director's Council of the Museum of the City of New York
The Museum’s Director’s Council is a group of individuals who have established an on-going commitment to the Museum and its mission. Each fall, they host the New York After Dark cocktail party as well as the black-tie Winter Ball gala dinner to raise funds and awareness for the Museum.
