Once Upon a Time: McLoughlin Children's Books from the Liman Collection
Nov 15, 2005 through Jan 16, 2006

McLoughlin Brothers was New York City's leading publisher of children's books and games during the 19th century. The firm produced a great variety of story books, with colorful and striking illustrations, meant both to educate and entertain the city's children. Once Upon a Time: McLoughlin Children's Books from the Liman Collection features over 50 of these beautiful Victorian-era books from the extraordinary collection of Ellen and Arthur Liman--including fairy tales, fables, nursery rhymes, and alphabet books.

Once Upon a Time: McLoughlin Children's Books from the Liman Collection is presented through the generous support of W. Cody Wilson.
