Big & Green:Toward Sustainable Architecture in the 21st Century explores how skyscrapers and other megastructures are now being re-imagined to consume less energy and utilize renewable materials and resources. The exhibition (first presented by the National Building Museum in Washington. D.C.) is divided into five sections: Energy; Light & Air; Greenery; Water & Waste; Construction; and Urbanism. Each explores ways to build greener cities; demonstrating that despite immense technological, economic, and governmental problems, the dream of a greener future is an imminently attainable one.
