Magnum's New Yorkers presents some 130 black-and-white and color photographs from the archives of Magnum Photos, regarded by many as the world's preeminent photography agency. The exhibition features work by Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Eve Arnold, Bruce Davidson, Elliott Erwitt, Susan Meiselas, and more than a dozen other Magnum photographers. Covering more than 50 years of the city's history, their images depict the people and life of new York, but even more than that, they evoke the feel of the city--its exuberant energy, diversity, and intensity.
Magnum's New Yorkers is made possible through the generous support of James G. Dinan, Charina Foundation, James A. Lebenthal Family Foundation, Melvin R. Seiden, Scott L. Bok, Virginia Zabriskie, Arthur Fleischer, Jr., Caroline N. Sidnam, Arthur & Marilyn Penn Charitable Trust, and Barnabas McHenry.
