Pull back the curtain and travel back in time in this artistic adventure, inspired by the exhibition Rhythm and Power: Salsa in New York.

Join Drawing New York and the Museum of the City of New York for this special evening, where you’ll:

  • Sketch from live models costumed in 1970s era styles
  • Drink and draw as an MC guides you through the evening
  • Enjoy live music
  • Explore the exhibition Rhythm and Power: Salsa in New York, where you’ll see dance costumes and musical instruments from some of salsa’s leading figures, as well as audio and video that bring the sounds and movement of salsa to life
  • Plus! All attendees who come in 1970s-inspired clothing will receive a Dick Blick $5 gift card for art supplies.

 

Adults 21+ only. Drawing experience not required.

 

Drawing New York is a drawing group for people of all levels who want to begin drawing, return to drawing, or simply improve their drawing skills.
