Marvel at the engineering feats and soaring architecture of Rafael Guastavino Sr. and Jr., responsible for over 1,000 spaces throughout the United States—including such iconic late 19th and early 20th century spaces as Grand Central Station, Carnegie Hall, and Ellis Island’s Great Hall—that utilize the architecture and engineering innovations of structural tile.
