Throughout history New Yorkers have used machines to help them in their daily lives, from apple corers to stock tickers. Explore images from our exhibition New York at Its Core to see these iconic objects from New York City’s history, then use our materials to design a machine of your own!

This free Family Program takes place in Poor Richards Playground (E. 109th St. between Second and Third Avenues) and is geared to families with children ages 6-12 years old. Activities are designed for adults and children to complete together.
