Meat Hooked! A Film Screening and Discussion
January 30, 2014 at 6:30 pm

Join us for a screening of director Suzanne Wasserman’s documentary film Meat Hooked! (2012) about the rise and fall—and recent rise again—of butchers and butchering in New York. The 53-minute screening will be followed by a conversation between Wasserman, Joshua Applestone and Jessica Applestone, butchers and founders of Fleisher’s Grassfed and Organic Meats, moderated by Julia Moskin, reporter for The New York Times Dining and Wine section. Just in time for New York Meat Week!

Co-sponsored by the CUNY Gotham Center for New York History and the Institute of Culinary Education.
