Leading Ladies: Puppet Making

Celebrate the New York City women who have championed for change. Explore rare artifacts, documents, costumes, photographs, and audio-visual materials in the exhibitions Beyond Suffrage: A Century of New York Women in Politics and Rebel Women: Defying Victorianism to learn about their stories. Choose a figure as inspiration to make your own activist paper puppet with a message for change. 

Family programs are free with Museum admission and for Members, and geared toward families with children ages 6–12 years old. Activities are designed for adults and children to complete together.
