The Future of the Future: Norman Bel Geddes and His Legacy
October 22, 2013 at 6:30 pm

In the 1920s and 1930s, designer Norman Bel Geddes daringly predicted the future of design in fields as diverse as transportation, theater, and consumer products. Join the exhibition’s curator Donald Albrecht for a conversation about how today’s practitioners view the future of design, with panelists Rama Chorpash, Director of Product Design and Associate Professor at Parsons; Phil Patton, automotive design writer for The New York Times; and Donyale Werle, award-winning theater designer. Co-sponsored by the School of Constructed Environments at Parsons The New School for Design and presented in conjunction with Norman Bel Geddes: I Have Seen the Future.
