New York City History Day 2009
New York City History Day breathes life into traditional social studies curriculum by engaging students and teachers in a hands-on and in-depth approach to studying the past!
New York City History Day is an education program that engages students in grades 6-12 in the discovery and interpretation of history. Students decide on a topic of interest related to this year’s theme, The Individual in History, and work individually or in small groups to create an imaginative exhibit board, original website, multimedia documentary, dramatic performance, or research paper. On Sunday, March 29th, 2009, hundreds of students citywide will present their final research projects to a diverse team of judges at the Museum of the City of New York. All entry forms, in addition to website and paper entries, must be received by March 2nd, 2009.
