Exploring New York Harbor: A Week-long Marine Science Program for children entering 6th, 7th, and 8th grade

Middle school students- come explore with us! If you enjoy being outdoors, doing hands-on activities, and want to learn about the ecology of New York Harbor, then this is the program for you! Join us at the South Street Seaport Museum for five full days of activities including testing the water quality of the harbor, meeting some of the critters that live in the East River, and sailing on the historic schooner Pioneer. Snacks and 2 t-shirts are included as well as transportation and admissions to any fieldtrip sites. $400 per child.

 

The program takes place August 6th through 10th, from 9 am to 4 pm. Please email fkent@mcny.org for an application. The deadline to register is July 17th.

 

This programs is a collaboration with the New York Harbor School.
