The Museum of the City of New York launches an online database
with more than 50,000 historic photographs.

The Museum of the City of New York is pleased to announce the soft launch of its online collections portal. We invite you to visit http://collections.mcny.org to view more than 50,000 newly digitized photographs by Berenice Abbott, Samuel H. Gottscho, Jacob A. Riis, the Byron Company, the Wurts Brothers, and many others.

This is the first phase in a project to digitize the Museum's entire photography collection, and additional images will be uploaded as they're digitized and cataloged.

You can help us during this testing stage by using the database, and letting us know what you think. E-mail collections@mcny.org with comments or questions.

As our thank-you gift to you, take 25% off any order of any personal print to hang in your home or give as a gift. Simply mention the special code PORTAL2010 when you place your order.

To ensure delivery, add programs@mcny.org to your address book.
