Self-Guided Visits for Families

Families can explore the Museum on their own at any time. Just ask the Admissions staff in our lobby for our family-friendly scavenger hunts: Chet the Architect and Activist New York. Each scavenger hunt is designed to help families explore the Museum together by looking closely at the building and our exhibitions. And they’re free of charge for the asking!

From New York Family: "Put a fun twist on a family day at the MCNY by participating in one of their family-friendly scavenger hunts. This hunt may include architecturally-focused activities like counting the number of columns dispersed throughout the museum, or tracing the shapes of certain artifacts. Families will enjoy exploring the beautiful architecture of MCNY while also discovering the different exhibits as they work together to complete the hunt." Read more >>
